My first thoughts are to thank all who were involved, for another successful gathering and to let those who could not attend know I am sure they were missed!
Reunion 2009 has left it's mark as yet another memorable event. Every year, my visit to Mason Grove conjures up old memories of my own childhood at our annual family reunion. I am happy to report, it is nice to relive some of those memories through the eyes of my own children, who are growing up quickly.
From the noon picnic lunch, to the children's games, the hay ride (so dedicatedly provided by my sweet uncle, my kids love this part!), bingo, the rifle shoot, (I could swear I hit that deer that ran passed, although I do have my father's eyes!). I missed the nature walk again! I will partake in that if it is done again next year, something else must have been going on....
Thank you to Aunt Sally for arranging for the band, it is great to see square dancing make it's comeback at the reunion. I am not suprised how much my kids loved it, though, this is one of my best memories! Skipping around the outside of the old pavillion, while the "adults" danced... until I was old enough to join in that is.
A thank you needs to also be extended to those who made available the hot dogs and corn on the cob over the open fire pit, Yummy!
I am glad many of you put aside your "normal" lives to travel far, or not so far, to continue such a great annual event.
Special gatherings like this, are what create memories for the future generations to want to continue.

Thanks Again!
